Free · 3 AI assistants, 3 answers each
Ask an AI assistant who to call in your suburb. See whether it says you.
We put one question to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, three times each, and print all nine answers word for word — including the ones you are not in.
Put the question to them
Reads what three AI assistants say when someone asks them who the best in your trade are in your suburb. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, three times each, because they do not give the same answer twice. You get all nine answers in full, edited by nobody.
Does not read your Google ranking, your reviews, your website, your socials or your ads. Those are a different check and this one does not guess at them. There is no position in a chat answer, so there is no number here either — named, or not named.
Free. No email, no sign-up. Nine questions take about half a minute to come back, so give it a moment.
Or have us run it for you
Free. We email you what we find within a business day. No call unless you ask for one.
We never share or sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Run the AI answer test yourself, in four minutes
You need a phone or a laptop and nothing else. Do it before you read anyone’s opinion about AI search, including ours.
01
Write the question the way a customer would
Not “best plumber”. The way someone types it when water is on the floorboards: who should I call for a burst pipe in Redbank Plains tonight. If you work Ipswich, that is the question, not “emergency plumber Ipswich”. Use your trade, your suburb, and the problem — not your business name. Searching your own name proves nothing; the assistant will find you either way.
02
Put it to three AI assistants, not one
ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. They read different things and they will not agree, which is the point of running three. One answer is an anecdote.
03
Log what comes back, word for word
Six columns in a notebook: date, time, which assistant, the exact question, every name it returned in order, and whether you were signed in. Do not summarise it. The value is in the exact names, because that list is your real competitive set as a machine sees it.
04
Do it again a day later
Same question, same wording. The answers move — sometimes within the hour. A name that turns up in both runs across all three assistants is corroborated. A name that turns up once is noise, and that includes yours.
Three questions, three assistants, run twice, is 18 rows in a notebook. That is the whole test. Ask whoever’s quoting you to show you the same log for one of their clients.
Four things that make the answer meaningless
- Running it signed in. A logged-in account carries your history, and the AI assistant has read your own website more than once. Use a private window, or a different device entirely.
- Asking whether you are any good. “Is my business any good” is a question about you and it will find you. The test only means something if your name is nowhere in the question.
- Running one AI assistant. They read different sources and are wrong in different directions. One answer is an anecdote, and it is usually the flattering one people repeat.
- Screenshotting instead of writing it down. Twelve screenshots in a camera roll is not a record. Six columns you can read across is.
Three questions across three assistants is nine answers a run, eighteen across two runs, and it costs you the length of a smoko twice, a day apart.
How to read what comes back
You’re named in all three, twice. You’re in the conversation. Nothing on this site will improve that much and we’d tell you so.
You’re named once, in one assistant. That’s a coin toss rather than a position. It can mean there’s enough about you online to be found and not enough that agrees for a machine to lean on.
You’re not named at all and neither is anyone you recognise. The AI assistant is answering generically instead of locally. It can mean nobody in your trade has won it yet.
You’re not named and three of your competitors are. The useful one. Go and look at what those three have that you don’t — start with whether their name, suburb and trade are stated plainly in more than one place.
What none of it tells you is a ranking. There is no position in a chat answer. Named, or not named. So there’s no number to write down. What you write down is names and dates, and that is the whole of what is knowable here.
If you’d rather we ran it for you
The free visibility audit is a person going and looking. That covers where you come up in ordinary search, who is above you by name, which directories have your details wrong, and whether your socials are findable. It comes back in writing inside one business day and nobody rings you.
Run the check at the top and all nine answers are in front of you in about half a minute, without asking us for anything. The audit is the human read of everything around them.
Free. One business day. No call unless you ask for one.
