Pricing
Every price we charge is on this page.
No “from”. No “POA” on anything listed here. No call you have to sit through before anyone will tell you what a website costs.
You put a price on the docket in front of the customer. We reckon you’re owed the same courtesy.
Free check
See where you turn up when a customer searches your trade in your suburb.
Tell us your goal. We’ll tell you what you need.
More work in the suburbs you actually like driving to. Fewer tyre-kickers. A phone that rings on a Monday. Tell us which one you’re after and we’ll tell you which of the things on this page gets you there.
Then buy that one. Nothing here is a bundle you have to take whole, nothing unlocks anything else, and there are no lock-in contracts on any of it.
Not sure what the goal should be yet? The free audit is a person looking at what a customer sees when they go looking for your trade in your suburb, then emailing you the one thing costing you the most work.
Before you read our numbers
What a trade website costs in Australia, and what you actually get
Get three quotes. You should. Here is the shape of what you’ll find out there, so the prices further down this page mean something when you get to them.
These are rough bands, not a survey. Some of those prices include GST and some don’t, so ask.
- Under $600 a year — you build it. A template on a subscription platform. You write the words, you lay out the pages, and the monthly fee never stops. Your own evenings, and no page for any of your services or suburbs unless you make them yourself.
- $500 to $1,500 — a freelancer. Five to eight pages, built to order. What you get depends entirely on who you got.
- $1,500 to $3,500 — a small studio. For plenty of trades that is enough. Loads fast on a phone, a quote button that works, a page for each service.
- $2,500 to $8,000 — an agency that works with trades. Four to eight weeks. More pages, suburb coverage, and some thinking done before the building starts.
- $10,000 to $20,000 — a general agency, ten to twenty-five pages. Customer databases, booking systems, integrations with your other software. That is real work, and it is built for a business with a sales team and a marketing manager. If you haven’t got those, you are paying for a structure you won’t use.
Most of those come with a monthly fee behind them, and the monthly market has a shape too. Under about $800 a month, ask how many hours the fee actually buys. Between $800 and $1,500 is where trade work sits: your Google Business Profile looked after, the core pages tidied, a report. Above $1,500 you start getting something written every month, coverage across the whole service area, and reporting tied to enquiries instead of rankings.
Where we sit: $2,997, $4,997 or $7,997 to build, and $1,297 or $1,997 a month after it if you want the monthly work. Inside the band on both.
Two questions worth asking every quote you get, this one included. First: how many pages, and how long is the build? Then ask to see two of their suburb pages side by side. If only the suburb name changes, that’s your answer. Second: whose name is the domain, the hosting and the Google account in when it’s finished? If the answer isn’t yours, the price isn’t the price.
One-off websites you own lock, stock and barrel.
Paid once. The site, the domain, the hosting account, the logins and every file are in your name from day one and stay there whatever happens between us. The three sizes are named for the ground they cover, because that is the actual difference between them.

- 72 pages all up, including the nine core pages
- Live in 4 weeks once everything is in
- 25% deposit · 50% on draft approval · 25% before it goes live
- The metro, first refusal for your trade

- Live chat on your site
The same nine core pages, whichever size you take
Home, About, Contact, Quotes, Process, Free Resources, Privacy, Terms & Conditions and FAQs. They are the pages a customer looks for before he rings, and a smaller build does not get a smaller version of them.
And in every build, at no extra charge
- A WordPress site built for you, on hosting and a domain in your name from day one.
- Your Google Search Console and Google Analytics set up in your own Google account, connected and verified before launch.
- Your Google Business Profile set up and optimised by hand — the $397 job, included.
- Send us the photos you have and we optimise them. We set up a shared folder for you to drop them into.
- Every page checked before it goes live, and you get the results — pass, fail and warnings left in.
- Your licence number, your ABN and a privacy policy on the site when it goes live — three things a customer looks for and can check in ten seconds.
- Logins, source files and the check results handed over at the end. You can walk at any time and take the lot.
The monthly work starts included. One month on Regional, two on Suburban, three on Metro, from the day the site goes live: the monthly check on your live site, the one-page report in plain English, the Google Business Profile work and your first new pages. At the end of it you decide whether to keep going, and we tell you the date before it arrives rather than after. Start straight on Hold Your Patch and you pay the $700 a month difference for those months.
First refusal comes with every build. From the day your site goes live, if someone else in your trade asks us to work in your area, you hear first and get 14 days to move onto Hold Your Patch before we quote them. Hold Your Patch is what locks it.
Outgrow the one you picked and you pay the difference. We will not talk you up a size to begin with — but if the work grows into a bigger patch later, the extra service and location pages get researched and built the same way the first set were. Nothing you have already paid for is thrown away, and nothing already on the site gets rebuilt.
Four weeks maximum on any build. The clock starts when everything is in — the conversation done, logo, content, photos, details — and then it is built in one hit. A build started on half the inputs gets rewritten twice, and the rewriting is what turns a fortnight into a quarter.
What “SEO optimised” actually means on your site
Every quote you get will have that phrase on it, and on its own it means nothing — same as “mobile optimised”. Here is the list it stands for here. Every line is a thing that either happened or it didn’t, and you can check every one of them.
Checked before it ships
- 28 automated checks per page — page title, the summary Google shows under it, heading order, word count, links between your pages, image descriptions, the code that tells Google what your business is, and more. A page that fails a critical check does not go live.
- You get the results. Pass and fail, warnings left in.
- A site-wide duplicate check — no two pages allowed to say the same thing in different words, which is exactly what templated location pages do.
- At least three facts unique to that page, or it does not pass.
The words
- A recorded conversation about real jobs, not a template with your trade dropped into it.
- No invented claims. We never write that you have done something you haven’t.
- Every location page carries a real job you did there. No job, no page.
- Checked for AI writing tells before it ships, against thresholds measured on real trade copy.
The technical work
- A description (alt text) on every image carrying the suburb and the service, not the camera’s filename.
- Behind-the-scenes code (schema) so Google and the AI assistants can read what your business is and where it works.
- Links between your service, location and service-area pages, so no page is left with nothing pointing to it.
- One page, one keyword focus. Your own pages should not compete with each other.
- Your site’s search settings (Rank Math) set up properly, not installed and left at defaults.
- Images compressed and served in modern formats.
Monthly work. Two options, no lock-in contracts.
A build doesn’t come with a retainer attached and it never will. You can pay once, take the site and walk, and it keeps working.
Stay Found
$1,297 / month
- One real job becomes a page on your site every month, built from a few questions about a job you actually did.
- The same job becomes a Google Business Profile post and a social post — written for you and posted for you. You answer once, it turns into three things.
- Your Business Profile kept working: posts, replies to your reviews, and your review count tracked against whoever is beating you.
- The site kept healthy — a full check every month, and what it finds gets fixed. Themes and plugins kept current.
- Where you actually come up, measured monthly: the map block, page one, and whether the AI assistants name you.
- A one-page report in plain English — what changed, what it means, what happens next.
- Hosting and domain managed. The bills stay in your name and go straight to the host and the domain registrar.
No patch lock. Stay Found keeps you where the build put you; it doesn’t hold your suburbs. Paid monthly in advance. Month to month, 30 days’ notice.
Hold Your Patch
$1,997 / month
- Everything in Stay Found.
- A page a fortnight instead of a page a month — 26 a year, all from jobs you have already done.
- Your territory stays locked to your trade — the town, the suburbs or the metro your build earned. If someone in your trade asks us to build inside it, we turn them away.
Paid monthly in advance. Month to month, 30 days’ notice.
What the monthly work actually is, page by page: the writing, your Business Profile, reviews, local search, AI visibility and the monthly report.
What Stay Found does not include
- Patch exclusivity — that is Hold Your Patch.
- Google Ads and social ads — separate services, each with its own setup fee.
- New pages beyond the one a month, redesigns, and new sections — quoted in writing before anything is paid.
Neither locks you into anything. Both stop with an email. What stopping does to your patch is further down this page, in full, rather than buried in a contract.
The awkward one, up front
What happens to your patch if you discontinue your retainer
Your patch stays shut for 90 days after you stop — unpaid, and not because a contract says so.
Inside those 90 days, if someone in your trade asks us to build inside your suburbs, you get the email before they get a quote, and 14 days to come back on at the price you were paying. After 90 days the patch is open and we’ll say so plainly. Come back after that and, if the patch is still free, you come back on at the current price.
Dropping from Hold Your Patch down to Stay Found starts the same 90 days, because Stay Found doesn’t hold a patch.
The day you stop, nothing happens. Twelve months later, someone who didn’t stop is where you were.
Before a line of it gets built
Every build starts with a strategy document, not a template.
Nothing gets written until we know who you are selling to, what the other operators in your patch are already saying, and what you can say that they cannot. You get that in writing before a page gets built.
That work is what decides whether you get named. Plenty of people now ask the whole question instead of typing “plumber Coorparoo”, and Google can put an AI answer above the results. Pew Research Center (22 July 2025, US data) measured it: searches phrased as a question returned one of those AI answers 60% of the time, against 8% for one- or two-word searches. When that answer appeared, people clicked through to a website on 8% of visits instead of 15%.
So the job is being the source the answer gets built from, and that comes down to what your site says about your actual work — not how many times it repeats a keyword. If someone’s quoting you on getting to the top for a keyword, ask them what happens when the answer is written before anyone scrolls.
01
Who you’re for, and what you stand behind
Who the business is for, what it stands behind, and the words it uses — written down and agreed before anything gets designed. You get it whether or not you ever need a logo from us.
02
How the business talks
How the business talks: what it says, what it will not say, and what it sounds like on the page. Every word written afterwards is checked against it.
03
Industry and competitor research
What the other operators in your trade and your patch are running, what they claim, and where the gap is. Named, with the searches, so you can go and check it yourself.
04
The strategy document, with the investment in it
What gets built, in what order, what it costs and what each part is meant to do. One document, before you commit to the rest.
How a build actually runs
- You pay the deposit and send everything in. The clock starts when the last of it lands — the conversation done, logo, content, photos, details.
- You get the strategy document and a mock-up. The full plan, the full investment, and a look at the thing before it exists.
- Your homepage gets built first, in full. Stage one is one real page, not a wireframe, so what you are approving is the actual page.
- You approve it and the rest gets built to match. Then you go through that too and check it off, page by page.
- The final payment lands, and then it goes live. Nothing goes public before you have seen every page of it.
Same order before a website, before location pages, before Google Ads and before social ads. A page or an ad written without it is a guess with a nice font on it.
Ask whoever else is quoting you to show you the equivalent document from their last build. It is a fair question, and it is an easy one to answer if the work was done.
How you prove it worked
Two moments matter: the day it goes live, and every month after.
At launch
- Search Console and Analytics connected and verified, in your Google account, so you can see which pages Google has filed within a fortnight.
- A baseline recorded on day one, so there is something to measure against.
- Page quality scores page by page — a measure of how the page was built, never a ranking guarantee.
- Google’s page speed test (PageSpeed Insights), on mobile and desktop.
- The page-by-page check results.
- Google’s and the AI assistants’ reading programs (crawlers) let in on purpose.
Every month, on either retainer
- Share of voice — how much of the search results in your patch you hold, against the others
- How often you showed up when your trade and suburbs were searched
- Visits to your site
- Enquiries
- Pages built, and pages Google has filed, as running totals
A missing figure and a zero never look the same on that report. If a number could not be read that month it is marked as missing, not printed as nought.
A page quality score in the nineties says the page was built properly. It is not a guarantee of ranking and we won’t sell it as one.
Extras that make you look professional and win more quotes
Logo & brand kit
$997
The logo designed from scratch, colours and type settled, truck and shirt artwork set up ready for the signwriter and the uniform printer, quote and invoice letterhead, and an email signature. What’s in it.
Photography
$497 / $797
$497 for 25 images, $797 for 75, with travel quoted before the day. Real photos of your work beat anything we could generate, and they’re the one thing on this page we can’t make for you from a phone call.
Google Business Profile — set up
$397
On its own, if your website is already fine. Categories, services, service area, hours and photos set properly, and a written record of every field we changed. Included in all three builds. What’s in it.
Other design work — full vehicle wraps, site and shopfront signage, printed stationery beyond the basics — is quoted in writing before anything is paid. Tell us what you need.
Month-to-month marketing services, no lock-in contracts
None of these need a website from us and none of them need each other. Each one is paid monthly in advance and stops with 7 days’ notice by email.
Google Business Profile — managed
$597 / month
Posts to your profile, replies to your reviews, and your review count tracked against the businesses sitting above you. For a tradie whose profile is the whole shopfront. What’s in it.
Website maintenance
$75 / month
For a site with no retainer on it. Theme and plugin updates kept current so it doesn’t quietly break. Both retainers already include this.
Google Ads — managed
$897 / month
$997 to set up, then $897 a month flat. The account is in your name, the ad spend goes on your card straight to Google, and conversion tracking is connected so you can see what a lead cost. The management fee does not move with your spend. What’s in it.
Social ads — managed
$897 / month
$997 to set up, then $897 a month flat. Same terms as Google Ads — your account, your card, your data, and a flat fee that doesn’t rise because you spent more. What’s in it.
Ambitious Tradies isn’t registered for GST, so every figure on this page is the whole figure. Nothing gets added at the invoice. Ad spend is separate and it is yours — it goes to Google or Meta on your card, never through us.
The number nobody prints
What a whole first year actually costs
Monthly pricing makes a big number look small. Here it is at full size, six ways, hosting included. Domain renewal is extra, paid straight to the registrar.
$3,077
Regional, no retainer. $2,997 build, $80 hosting. Then nothing.
$5,077
Suburban, no retainer. $4,997 build, $80 hosting. Then nothing.
$17,344
Regional + Stay Found. $2,997 build, $1,297 × 11 (first month included), $80 hosting.
$18,047
Suburban + Stay Found. $4,997 build, $1,297 × 10 (first two months included), $80 hosting.
$26,447
Suburban + Hold Your Patch. $4,997 build, $1,997 × 10, the $700 difference × 2 for the included months, $80 hosting.
$28,150
Metro + Hold Your Patch. $7,997 build, $1,997 × 9, the $700 difference × 3 for the included months, $80 hosting.
$28,150 is the biggest website-and-monthly bill in a first year. Metro with no retainer is $8,077. Ads management, brand kit and photography are extra and priced above.
Year two is the monthly and hosting only — $15,644 on Stay Found, $24,044 on Hold Your Patch, plus your domain renewal — because the build is done and you own it. Nobody re-buys a website here.
Hold those figures next to what a job is worth to you. Divide the first-year total by what an average job leaves you after materials and wages: that’s how many extra jobs it takes to pay for itself. Whether you get them is not something we can promise. It’s the arithmetic worth doing before anyone takes a deposit off you.
What you are risking before you have seen anything
On the two bigger builds you pay a quarter to start. Then you see the real pages — your jobs, your suburbs, your words on them — and the rest of the money only moves once you have. On a $4,997 build that is $1,249 in before anything is on a screen.
- The domain, the hosting account, the site, every page and every file are in your name from day one. There is no account of ours for you to be locked out of.
- Your current website stays up and untouched until the day the new one goes live.
- Nobody owns where Google puts you, so nobody can promise you a spot on it. If someone does, ask them what happens to your money in the month it does not land. What you get here instead is the same measurement we get, every month: where you come up, who is above you, and whether the assistants name you when a customer asks who to call.
Fifteen at a time
We take fifteen monthly clients at a time. It is not a sales line — it is the number of patches one outfit can keep turning people away from and still do the work properly. When it is full we say so, and you hear that before you spend anything, not after.
Ever been locked out of your own website?
If it has happened to you, you’ll know the shape of it. The site got built. The domain was registered in the agency’s name. The hosting sat on their account, the Google listing was verified with their email, and the day the relationship ended you found out how little of it was actually yours.
You can’t be locked out of something that was never held away from you. So none of it is:
- The domain is registered in your name, on your card, and you hold the login.
- The hosting account is yours. About $80 a year, paid by you straight to the host. The domain renewal goes straight to the registrar the same way. We don’t mark it up and we don’t resell it — if that bill came from us, you’d be renting your own website.
- Search Console, Analytics and your Business Profile are set up in your Google account, not ours. Your email owns them.
- You get the WordPress admin login, and it is an administrator, not a cut-down one.
- We work in your accounts by invitation, never with your password. Manager on the Business Profile, our own named user on the website. You can revoke either in one click, from your own screen, without asking us.
- There is no dashboard of ours to be shut out of, because we never put one between you and your site.
- Source files and the check results are handed over at the end of the build, not held as leverage.
If you’re getting quotes right now, ask every one of them the same question: whose name is on the domain, and whose card pays the hosting? The answer tells you what you’re actually buying.
If you don’t know the budget, what’s missing is the plan
It was never a question of how much to spend. It’s what you want to happen, what quality of work it takes to make that happen, and whether the price for that is fair. Work those three out and the number decides itself. Three steps, and the first one is free.
- Get the free audit. A person looks at what a customer sees when they search your trade in your suburb, and emails you what’s actually costing you work within a business day. No call, and nobody rings you.
- Come back to this page. With that answer in hand you’ll know exactly which line you’re reading, and which ones you can ignore.
- Still not sure? Book a call. If the honest answer is that you don’t need us yet, that’s what you’ll be told.
What to know before you buy any website or marketing from an agency
Most of these are worth asking whoever you end up hiring, not just us. The answers below are ours.
Is it built on WordPress, or one of those drag-and-drop site builders?
Why is this $2,997 when I’ve seen websites advertised at $99 a month?
What should I ask any agency before I sign anything?
Who owns the website when it’s finished?
Is there a lock-in contract?
How do I know the words on my site weren’t written by a robot?
How do I know I’m not paying for work that never happened?
What’s the difference between Regional, Suburban and Metro?
Do I have to take a monthly retainer?
Is that really all of it, or does something turn up on the invoice later?
Can I pay the build off monthly?
Why isn’t there GST on it?
What if my patch is already taken?
Understand your own numbers before you decide what to pay an agency
The free audit is a person looking at your business in your suburb and emailing you what’s actually costing you work — where you come up, who is above you, and what’s wrong with your details. Then the prices above stop being a menu and start being an answer.
